Catholic Schools -- same guidelines on vaccines as public schools?
My LOs aren't in school yet so I'm not yet on this board --
Both DS's are on a delayed vaccine schedule (pls don't flame -- it was the right decision for our family). I was just thinking ahead to school and was wondering how the Catholic school system views the vaccine situation.
Any info?

Same as public schools. However, private schools can take the "if you don't like it, then go somewhere else" approach that public schools cannot take.

My son was in Catholic last year (pre-k) and it's the same guidelines as public schools.

I would think by the time they will be ready for kindergarten you should be all caught up with their vaccines anyway.

We were thinking about Catholic nursery school next year, so I doubt we'll be caught up by then. It will be worth a shot, though...

My kids go to Catholic school and yes, same guidelines. Things I definitely remember them checking were the 2nd MMR and a lead level before K. My DD is in the pre-K now and they just asked for her records, but didn't specify which ones she needed.

My DD is in a 3yr old nursery program at a Catholic school and I can definitely tell you they follow the same standards as public.
