Catering ideas
I’m hosting thanksgiving and cooking the turkey and all the trimmings. On Saturday dh family is coming over for dinner. Dh thought I should just do a 2nd turkey dinner there is no way I’m doing that. I just want to cater something in. I usually do Italian from a good restaurant that is local but I want the do something else. There will be 11 adults and 2 kids. What type of food should I cater? If you have recommendations I’m in Suffolk near Ronkonkoma.

Re: Catering ideas
Maybe you can have a catered Thanksgiving dinner...if DH wants to have a traditional dinner with his family. I agree that cooking it twice is way too much work! I'm not sure from where though, only thing I can think of is Boston Market. Zorns is great, but maybe too far?

Re: Catering ideas
There's a spot called Farm to Table (Ithink) in Nesconset by Sundried Tomato. Their food is supposed to be great. There is also Elegant Eating in Smithtown that has different menus. Or what about Acropolis? They have awesome Greek food.

Re: Catering ideas
Go on the website for Lombardi's market in Holbrook. They have like a 20 page catering menu- everything from full dinners to sandwich/wrap platters to brunch options. The food is always amazing too

Why not do something completely different and get a taco bar. You can cater from Moe's.

I was going to suggest the same. Two huge, heavy meals in a few days is too much IMO. My office caters a lot of big meetings/events and the taco bar is everyone's favorite.

I don't think you could go wrong with a couple of hero's, salad and maybe a tray of ziti. I am always hesitant on any other type of cuisine because I don't know if people wouldn't eat it (like taco bar or chinese food).
