Cat Owners

Is your cat shedding like crazy since the weather got warmer?
I have an Orange tabby and am not kidding when I say, I have to brush him 2x a day and it STILL looks like I haven't touched him.
It gets quite annoying. He's an indoor cat (that prob. doesn't even matter), but, is because the weather is warmer?

I use the "Shed Ender" brush.
I can make a wig with what comes off of him.

Any recommendations on another brush or anything else I can do?

Re: Cat Owners

Unfortunately, you're doing just about all you can do. Shedding heavily in the warmer months is annoying, but inevitable.

Do you have one of the 3M rollers? Those things are great for picking up cat hair. Sorry, I'm sure you wanted to hear something more encouraging, but there isn't much more you can do. Chat Icon

My poor kitty is shedding so much it looks like I have white carpets. I don't think there's anything else you can do.

I have one of those furminator things that's supposed to help get excess fur off her but she won't let me get more then a couple of strokes done before she's bolting.

Yeah I try to comb them more,so this way they don't get hair balls when they clean themselves.

Yes they both are, and my female who is a short hair tortie is really bad and she keeps hacking up fur balls Chat Icon The only thing you can do is just keep brushing!

My Persians were CRAZY shedders when it was warmer. We always shaved them down in late spring.

Re: Cat Owners

Yes, my kitty is shedding like CRAZY!! She's an orange tabby too. Her hair is everywhere, I am dusting and vacuuming nonstop!

I also brush her, it helps a little, but not too much.

Oh yes she is shedding like crazy. I try to brush her but she only lets me for a few mins then thats it and hides. I have to vacuum every other day. I wish I can vacuum her fur too but that will never happen. Chat Icon
