Cat breath

My God, TJ's breath is Chat Icon

And Lincoln's is not much better...although his is more cat-like...TJ's is more garbage dump like.

What can I do? Do you think I should bring him to the vet to get them cleaned? Chat Icon

Re: Cat breath

You might want to do that- take him to the vet. He may have an infection. My IL's have a dog that has atrocious breath - apparently his teeth are in really bad shape and are infected and the vet said that is why it's SOOO bad. They have been giving him some sort of antibiotic - but I think he can only take it once a month (? I don't get it) and then it seems to be better for a while.

You might also want to try brushing the teeth too which could help.

Re: Cat breath

I tried brushing Chilly's teeth and the claws and growl came out..I would take her to the vet. The dog lets me do anything but cat's are so picky..I like my fluffy ball of fur though.Chat Icon

Re: Cat breath

A good cleaning would help...as well as a diet change. I changed Lucy's food to something more natural and she didn't have any breath at all Chat Icon It was incredible! LOL

I have since switched her to another all natural food (Wellness) and her breath is outrageous LOL Very, very fishy smelling and at times, that sick breath that humans can get? So weird. But I love the food (so does she) - she has this stomach condition and she's been doing really well on it so I'll take the sick-fish breath over dr-visit-enemas.
