Cash for Caulkers
Being a new homeowner, i'm tempted to be excited about this new "Cash for Caulkers" program but DH is telling me this will be terrible for our economy. What do you ladies think? Anyone have any info??

I believe they already give you a tax break if you claim such purchases on your tax return. this would actually be the cash it seems instead.
I personally don't think this is a fix all for our country. I don't even see how it would fix it any, but that's how I feel about most things they do these days

Thanks for the repy :) I have never heard of being able to claim any of those things on your taxes unless it's for a rental. BUT..i'm a new homeowner, which is why i'm asking. I can use all the help I can get!!

Ditto!!! i need new appliances too. at least a new fridge and a new microwave.
