Casey does not like to go for walks anymore
I don't know why. I used to take her for a walk for at least 1 mile a night to get exercise. Now she won't go past my sidewalk. I have to pull her to get her anywhere. Her ears go back and her tail goes in between her legs.
I miss walking! It was good for the both of us, but now it seems she is freaked out for some reason. This has been going on for a few weeks

My sister's Golden does the exact same thing ...she is 10 and not in great health tho.
Maybe there was something that spooked her one day, like a loud noise? What about driving in the car, the same route? Or have DH go with you and walk ahead and call her to him, a few feet at a time? I know walking with my dog is what keeps me moving, and I think it is so good for them too!!

She gets VERY spooked by loud noises. So, she may have heard something and is still remembering that.

no luck. we had our trainer come on Wed. and she said sometimes dogs around that age go through a phase!
