Carseat advice

My MIL bought us our car seat from BBB. She ordered it 10 weeks ago. BBB says in should be in 10-14 weeks from when she ordered it. I am due in 7 weeks. What do you think shouyld i wait the 4 more weeks and then if its no in pick something else?

That is a LONG time to wait - in the past special orders there have been 10-12 weeks - but it often takes less time than they state. You do have sometime - hopefully even IF you go early you wouldn't go sooner than 4 weeks from now. I think most go 38-42 weeks. Which seat did you register for?

Can you pick another one and in say 2 weeks if it hasn't come in yet go to the store and buy it and leave it boxed up and if it doesn't look like it will come in time than just use the second choice. Or - honestly worst case is that your DH gets it installed while you are in the hospital you only need it when you get discharged not when you get admitted.

If it is really the one you wanted, I'd wait. If you happen to go very early and the seat isn't in yet, somebody can always go get a different one for you. I think you'll probably have it in time though.

Its the peg pergo primo viaggo. i have to go to BBB this weekend for returns so i am going to ask them what is going on and hopefully its not be discontinued. i do see they now have another model. What a pain.

I have a friend that just went 6 weeks early and another that went 4 weeks early. So, being that you never know, I'd want to have a car seat. What about the Graco Snugride? Its in stock at most stores and is a Consumer Reports Best Buy and also recommended by Baby Bargains.
