carseat
im still trying to find a place that will do the car seat check...but im just wondering where it gets installed? i read the center of the back seat is best, but im thinking that it will be hard to access in the center so wanted to put it on the side (which i assume would be passenger side). what are you ladies doing?
i drive a ford explorer not that it matters

Re: carseat
depends on the car. You can look in the car manual to see where the manufacturer reccomends. I have a jeep liberty and they say with one it's either the middle or passenger side. I'm going with the middle since my car has side airbags...
Some SUV's have a hump in the middle so you can't put a carseat there.

Re: carseat
Read your car's owners manual for instructions. Normally, if you're installing using the LATCH system you will have to install on one of the sides. If you're using a seatbelt, you can use the middle of the back seat as long as it's not larger than 22", I believe.
Your owner's manual will have the details better than any of us.

Re: carseat
I wanted to do the middle as I heard that was safest.
Turns out my car wasn't crash tested with the seat in the center, so we have it on the passenger side.
We got it inspected at St Mary's hospital in Bayside. I'm glad I did, they got it super tight and used a pool noodle and some other grip stuff to make it stay secure in our car.
