Carpet Help!!!
I am looking to hear about the most inexpensive carpet place you know of. I have gotten one quote already, but the cheapest that they had was $20 per sq yard and the carpet was awful. The decent one was $28 per sq. yd.
In any event, I have Empire coming next Monday. But I am hearing not such good stuff about them.
Has anyone had a good experience with a place that has reasonable pricing????????
TIA!

Re: Carpet Help!!!
We only use Home Depot for carpet I can't say if they are the cheapest- but they do have inexpensive carpet- it depends on the quality. For high quality carpet you are going to pay- no matter where you go.
I like Home Depot because they guarantee the work of the installers they contract with etc

Re: Carpet Help!!!
Do not use Empire. Their prices not not cheap or even reasonable. I had one room done by them and thought it was a good price until I was shopping around for a 2nd room later on.
I used Jim Flack in Farmingdale and love them. Quick, the carpet is great and it was in my mind cheap.

Re: Carpet Help!!!
We always get our carpeting from Jim Flack carpet in Farmingdale. The place is a dive, but they have an awesome selection and great prices. I think it's $21 a yard installed. If you go today, they will come measure tomorrow and install on Wednesday. Yes, they definitely have some really ugly carpets there, but mixed in are great quality, beautiful carpets.

Re: Carpet Help!!!
"Abbey Classic Carpet" in Lake Grove on Rt. 25/Middle Country Road. (in the Burlington Coat Factory and Harrows shopping center)
They installed within a week and also have great prices and a ton of carpet remnants (if needed for smaller rooms)
Friends of ours also used them and no complaints either. Good luck!
Here's a link to their website
