Carpal Tunnel syndrome
Has anybody had it, or know anybody with it?
What were the symptoms/where did it hurt/what did it feel like? Did it just come on suddenly one day, or did it start gradually and get worse?
Was there any treatment for it?
Did you have to (or were you lucky enough to) be out of work because of it?
My forearm/wrist/hand started really hurting -- bad yesterday, and I'm wondering if it could be Carpal Tunnel.

Re: Carpal Tunnel syndrome
There are a few tests your dr. can do to see if it's really CTS.
One of them is the Phalen's test: A test for carpal tunnel syndrome in which both hands are held tightly palmarflexed opposite to a prayer position, creating at least a 90° angle between the forearm and the hand. If the test is positive, numbness and tingling are produced when the hands are held in this position for approximately 30 seconds

Re: Carpal Tunnel syndrome
I have it in both wrists. My main symptom is tingling and numbness in my fingers and arm.
I went to a specialist and had a test done with needles (can't remember the name of it).
I have a brace for each wrist that I have had to wear for the past 8 mths. I was going to get the surgery but then got pregnant again so I can't.
Once I am recovered from having the baby I am definitely going to get it done in my right arm ASAP.
My left can wait a little while.
Mine is so bad I can open jars/bottles. I can't move my wrist certain ways.

Re: Carpal Tunnel syndrome
I stared to get carpal Tunnel it was getting really painful so I bought a brace at walmart that helped alot. My doc told me to wear it even outside of work & at night. Then my co got me a mouse this one & now my wrist is almost back to normal. It take a while to get used to the mouse. Image Attachment(s):
