Carolina Beach, NC

Hi--looking for some feedback on Carolina Beach, NC for a family (Us and 3 year old) vaca. Looks like a nice, fun, family orientated place but always like to get local feedback. We would be going shortly after Labor Day so wondering if it shutters down or if it is still hopping since it will still be warm/summer.

I have never been there during that time of year but we went 2 years with my parents recently.

I liked it. I did not have my DS yet but think its a great family place. Laid back!!! We rented a condo on the ocean. We tried 2 different places and both were great. My mom found them on home away I think. The only thing I think I would do differently is rent a place with a pool. Many of the condo complexes have small pools. I love the ocean but every now and then I wished I could just jump in a pool.

The beaches are nice and clean. They do fireworks once a week during the summer and show movies in the park.

I went Mid July so I would think its less crowded in Sept but I am sure not empty since the weather is still so nice.
