Cardiac Aneurysm
I went to the Dr. a couple of weeks ago for a check up because my health insurance changed and I figured what the heck. While I was there they asked me if anyone ever told me I had an arrhythmia, I hadn't been told that. Anyway, they ran some tests and told me I had to go back for an ekg. I did yesterday and they found an aneurysm. Right now I have a heart monitor on for the next 24 hours so they can record my heart during day to day life. I guess yesterday I didn't process it, but this morning when DH went to grab me, he hit one of the wires and it hit me they are there. I'm just a little freaked out.

I have had heart monitiors on and if someone accidentally hits it, it is usually OK. Thank God they found this and can now correct it. Hang in there, you will be in my prayers.

Kelly, my dad was diagnosed w/ arrhythmia and he's very young. The doctors don't know why he has it but he does. It's been about 4 years since he was diagnosed, he has not had any problems or complications. He goes to his cardiologist regularly. I think it's a scary thing to hear that you need to have your "heart"monitored. Please remain w/ a positive outlook. I am sure things will be ok!!!

My FIL has arithmia (sp?) and is doing great. He was also monitored.

im sorry to hear you had a scare
good thing is that you were sent to the doc for a reason. they found a condition and they will monitor you and take care of it.
