car service with children
My children are still in car seats. We are taking a family cruise out of NY. My dad is ready and willing to pay for car service for the family...but I dont think that I can use my car seats, nor do I want them on the cruise ship with us...4 people in a cabin is a tight squeeze as it is.
DH is in the NYPD, we were thinking of trying to park at the closed police pct or just pay for parking at the pier.
What would you do? does anyone know of a car service that offers car seats?

we were is this dilemma 3 years ago, and hadmy Mom drive us there, on the way back we took a taxi with no car seat. NYC law does not require them in TLC vehicles, I was a nervous wreck but we did it.
This year we did it again. BUt at 5 1/2 the seat belt pretty much fits him.

try Quality Limo in Commack or GraceKara limo in Holtsville. They may be able to help -- even if it means storing your carseat until you return.
If you use Quality ask for your driver to be Gil.

Just so you know the law in NY is that in cars for hire, taxi, limo, etc, you do not need carseats.
We didn't use one when we cruised out of NY. We just used a reg seatbelt. I def didn't want to bring the carseat.
