car seats
I saw that Chicco has a convertible car seat they just came out with. It's called Chicco Next Fit. Seems like it has a lot of great features. So I went to preorder it and the price is $299.
Whats the difference between a $100+ car seat and a $300+ car seat.
Also, do you have one for each car? It's not like you can just switch the seat on a base like the infant seat. I have DD most of the time but for family outing DH drives his car.

I have 3 convertibles. Because we needed 3 I refused to buy Britax when there were tons of other perfectly safe cheaper seats.
Some seats are not as "cushy" as others. I have Evenflos. They fit in all 3 cars perfectly. No one has to sit in the dashboard because the seat has to be so far forward.
I would research the cheaper seats because many are great seats. I also got mine on sale at BRU cause it was a pattern that you could only get there.

Re: car seats
we have one in each car. I have a britax- given to me at my work babyshower, and we have a graco. Both are great seats, and with coupons and toys r us bucks, we saved a bunch of money. Ds seems to like both, and they fit in our vehicles.

Why don't you look up the reviews for which ever you are looking for?

DH and I each have a Britax in our cars. Makes things much easier. Both my mom and my in-laws also got car seats, but what was affordable for them. My mom got a graco and my in-laws got one by Safety 1st and both are fine!

They all pass the same safety tests which are pass/fail.
The difference is in the features and ease of use/installation, possibly how long the seat is usable (meaning how long the child actually fits, not expiry date)

this i got a "cheaper" car seat for DH car and it was such a pain in the ass to install that i ended up returning it and just getting another Britax
