Car Seat with easy install

My mother watches DS 1-2x per week, so we had bought the Cosco Apt for her car. Her car filled with water during Sandy. (So much so, that when I was by her house 2 weeks ago, before the cars were towed, I opened up the car and the little cupholders were still filled with water. Of all the much more awful things I saw in Island park and at her house, that sight brought me to hysterics )

Anyways, I need to replace the car seat. But it doesn't make sense to get another Cosco Apt b/c DS is very close to 40 pounds. Any recommendations of another seat that has an easy install because I sometimes have to put it in my father's car or take it out so she can drive my grandparents, etc. At this point, I have no idea what car she'll have.

You don't give a budget, but the Evenflo Secure Kid 300 should work and isn't that much more than the Apt, it's about 100 or so. Has push on connectors so it will be easier to take in/out and goes to 65lbs.

Evenflo symphony is super easy to install!! Forward facing with harnesses to 65 pounds, and then can be used as a high back belt positioning booster to 100pounds. Has an adjustable head rest so even tall kids will continue to fit!
