Car seat question
When do you switch from infant seat to convertible car seat? How long do you use the convertible seat before a booster. Hope this is the correct order...

Re: Car seat question
You switch when your baby exceeds the weight max or is too long/big for the seat.
We registered for the Chicco Key Fit 30. So, it should last until around 30 pounds unless DD gets too long or big, then we move to the convertible (Britax Marathon) seat.

Re: Car seat question
We too are getting the KeyFit30, not sure what seat after that.
I guess we'll see when we get to that point.

Re: Car seat question
Keep in mind if you are planning on carrying baby in the infant carrier a 30lb baby in a 10lb seat=one heavy item.
With all 3 of my kids I had Snugrides and by the time they were about 18lbs I was more than ready to change em over!
My kids were generally 5-7 months in the infant seat, from then the convertible (Marathons), Emma is 5 1/2 and she moved into a Britax Monarch about 3 months ago.
