car seat installed question
does anyone find it odd that you only tie down one end of the car seat?
We followed all the instructions and used the LATCH secure, etc...but somehow we were expecting it to be more secure than it is.
Why do you only secure one end of it? If you had to do something on both ends not sure how it would work but anyone else find this odd?

Re: car seat installed question
I think you may have something wrong here. You have two LATCH hooks for a seat not one.
What car do you have and seat did you buy?

Re: car seat installed question
I used both LATCH hooks (right and left), i am talking about that only the part that connects is the side where the baby's feet go and that there is nothing to hold down the side where the baby's head is...
I have a Subaru Outback 2010 and the Graco Snugride 30...i followed the directions in both manuals...

Re: car seat installed question
Ok - I understand now.
There is nothing attached to the to of the seat because rear facing seats are designed to bounce and move in case of an accident. That is how the forces of a crash are absorbed.
Just make sure that the seat where the LATCH strap is does not move more than an inch side to side.
