Car Seat Conundrum
So, I am stuck on registering for car seats and need some halp?
I have heard great things abouit the Graco Snug ride- but I am not sure whether to go with the Snugride 22, or Snugride 30, At what point did you /will you stop using the infant car seat- should I go for the 30?
I have the same question about the Convertible Car Seats-- trying to decide between the Britax 55 and the Britax 70-- Did you keep your child in the convertible car seat after 55 pounds or where they in a booster seat by then?
Thanks Ladies!!!

Not a lady, but here are my recommendations.
Go with the Snugride 30. It's the newest one on the market for Graco and makes more sense then the 35. This seat will give you more flexability then the 22 just in case the little one outgrows the seat quickly.
As far as the Britax - go with a 70 model such as the Marathon or the Boulevard.

Re: Car Seat Conundrum
You have to remember that the more the baby weighs - the heavier the carrier is going to be. But infant carriers are awesome, you might want to use it as long as possible. I used it for about 7/8 months with #1 and his feet were over the end (he was always tall) #2 I got to about 5 months and it became too heavy for me.
DS#2 just went into a high back booster at 4+ years and 55 pounds (that isn't a typical weight for a 4 year old - he's off the charts in height and weight) DS#1 went in at 4.5 and was probably under 50. high back regulations are 30 inches and 30 pounds.
Some people keep DC in carseats longer, but our Britax marathon was getting too tight and we couldn't loosen it any more.

Re: Car Seat Conundrum
I have a snug ride 22 and a 32 honestly the 22 is so much better to carry and we started using the 32 after she grew out of the 22 only reason we had the 32 was it was a hand me down. By 7 months dd was too heavy for the carrier and was in the convertible seat which we went with the my ride 65 its awesome dd loves it still

Re: Car Seat Conundrum
Again, the Snugride 30 is the newest seat in the line for Graco - it has the weight of the 22 and allows for a longer use if desired.
Because of the parents that I have seen usng the 32 and 25, I would not suggest them as the majority of parents stop using those more expensive seats around 10 months. So their additionl rated weight is not taken advantage of.
The Graco MyRide 65 is a great seat, but if you want a Britax go with the 70 lb seats - longer life.
