Car insurance for the city stupid!
We own a car but really don't drive it very much but we have free parking so it is worth it. I have two insurance questions:
1. If your car is stolen, does your car insurance pay to replace it?
2. If your car was totalled in an accident, would car insurance cover it?
We have USAA car insurrance full minimum coverage if that matters.

1. only if you have comprehensive coverage. there's a deductible attached to this coverage - your insurance would "kick in" after the deductible. For ex - if the damage to your car is 10k and you have a 500 deduc, the insurance co will pay $9500.
2. only if you have collision coverage. there's also a deductible and it works the same way as comprehensive.
and i have no idea what you mean by full minimum coverage.
full coverage includes comp and collision. your glass coverage is generally included here as well.
minimum coverage usually means just NYS requirements, like liability.

1. I *think* it depends on the policy, but I am never sure.
2. If the car is totaled, it depends on quite a lot of factors to see who would pay it.
USAA (in my experience) is very good to their insureds, but the policy would really tell you what you need to know

Thanks ladies! DH isn't home and I don't even know where the policy is! LOL...These questions pop into my head at random times in the middle of the night! I love our car and it isn't going any where!
