Canned pumpkin
Can I find canned pumpkin now?
Stop & shop was out- is this something normally i can find all year??

Yup--you certainly can get it all year round. I find it at Waldbaums and its usually in the baking aisle alongside the canned fruit compote.

You can find it year-round, but I do remember reading not too long ago in the Hungry Girl e-mail that there was a shortage of pumpkin so it's not as easy to find it as usual.
If you can't find it at a regular supermarket, you might be able to get it at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or a similar market.

Yes there was a shortage last year. Not sure if they are plentiful now.

Would the current canned pumpkin be from last year's pumpkins? If so, there could still be a shortage (if last year wasn't a good pumkin season) I would imagine it is too early for new pumpkins.
