Re: candied yams
My mom uses the canned yams. Pours Log Cabin maple syrup over them until they are covered about 1/2 way. Cooks them. Adds marshmallows when almost done and turns broiler on to make brown.

Re: candied yams
Boil the yams till cooked or almost cooked not hard. Let cool and peel them. In a baking dish or foill tray slice the yams . Pur a layer of sliced yams on bottom of pan, sprinkle dark brown sugar over the yams. Place little pats of butter all over the yams space the litle pats of butter around sparodically. Put a nother layer of sliced cooked yams over the previous layer. REpeat with the brown sugar and butter. Yop with mini masrshmallows. Bake for about 40 minutes or until marshmallows are melted. So easy and good!
