Re: Can you tell me everything I need to know about Great Wolf and
It's so much fun! My kids had a blast and we ant wait to go back! Bring a few swimsuits because they take forever to dry. Pack a bag with snacks and drinks for the kids. There is a micro and fridge in the room so that helps. We had pizza one night, then went out to eat the second night . If you want chairs get there early to claim them. We had a tough time finding seats. Especially annoying when you have trays of food, we ended up taking other peoples chairs so our kids could sit and eat. The showers in the water park (use themif you already checked out) are a total disaster! We were trying to leave and their were lines for the shower. I had dh take the kids to clean them up, no line for the men. Call and get the breakfast voucher if you want, it's like $11.00. The food is not that good though

You dont reall need a life vest. We didnt use one, but I did see other kids had them. You can bring a little cooler bag into the water park area so pack accordingly. Its crowded. We went in march, took my neices and nephews out of school and it was crowded.
THre is a nice hibachi place near by which the kids loved.
THere is a cute mini bowling alley there, arcade too.
You can start using the waterpark at 1 the day you check in, I think we got there at 12 and they gave us our bracelets for access even though our room wasnt early. Pack a small bag with just what you need for the pools so that you can easily access it without having to go through your luggage, so if you get there earlier if your room isnt ready.

How much time would you say did you spend at the park? and was is it enough time?
I was planning on hitting the zoo on the way there. Has anyone been there?

Gw provides the life vests, my kids wore them the entire time. We stayed for 2 nights so the kids played in the water park 3 days. We got there around 130 and were able to check into our room. They loved it so much and played for many hours. Watch the show / story time at 8 pm, it's really cute.
Def keep all the swimming gear and snacks in a separate bag. Gw provides towels as well

The Lodge provides towels, but they can only be kept in the pool area. Our first time there we didn't know that and they took it off our 2 year old and he was hysterical on the way back to the room. It doesn't get too cold for adults, but definitely bring something to cover your one year old to wear from pool to room. Once he was 4 he didn't need the extra coverup.

Re: Can you tell me everything I need to know about Great Wolf and
when are you going? i just got back! we went memorial day and came home on wednesday so we stayed 3 days 2 nights.
we got there around 12:30 and our room was ready so we changed and went staright to the park. Bring a towel for your 1 year old, the walk back to the hotel room is chilly! bring food! their food is expensive! since we stayed for a few days i brought a bunch of food (travel size cereal, bread and PB for some PB sandwiches, snacks, milk, bowls, utensils) we ate breakfast and lunch in our room and then left the property to go get dinner. the book in the room has suggested restaurants in the area. bring multiple swimsuits like another poster said. call up and ask them for a room on the first floor since you have a baby, easier to walk too. life vests are provided in multiple sizes. the park def empties out around dinner time til close. there were no lines on the slides when we went back around 7:30-8pm. lockers sell out fast ($10 for the day) so we just brought a diaper bag and left it on a chair. the towels are super small also btw.

Thank you so much I was actually thinking of bumping this since we are leaving tomorrow for GWL. I plan on bringing my own beach towels because they are thicker and larger I am sure. Also I was planning on packing some snacks for the water park. I wanted to try Disaki the Hibachi place near by but I am unsure if it is suitable to bring little kids for dinner. Did you eat at any of the on premise restaurants for breakfast or should we order to the room ? Also do you think you need 2 days for the park considering you can only start at 1pm on the day of arrival?

Re: Can you tell me everything I need to know about Great Wolf and
We were there in April with a 5 month old and an almost 2.5 year old. We only stayed 1 night and learned to stay 2 from now on. WIth all the packing and driving it was to much for only 1 day. Now had we stayed 2 nights it would have been the perfect amount of time. The 1st day was all about Beach Mama Beach and day 2, when we left she wanted to go to the Beach, but it wasn't as exciting as it was the day before. I think with the 1pm arrival day and then swimming the day you leave it's plenty of time. Now we're in MI so we went to the one in Traverse City so I don't know exactly about your place. I second bringing snacks and food. They have the fridge and microwave. We are going back in Dec and staying 2 nights. We plan to take stuff for breakfast and lunch. Muffins, juice, fruit, yogurt, sub fixings for lunch, homemade potato salad and so on. The food is typical hotel food. Mediocre and over priced. It is fun to eat there for the kids, but we go to off site places for dinner since my mom offers to watch the kids. When we go back we'll do 1 night off sight, and 1 night there. It is cute and easy to have them in jammies for dinner and then ready for story time. Plus if you get a kids meal they get adorable Wolf ears They provide towels and life jackets plus life guards are EVERY WHERE! I also second bringing your own towel and cover ups for the kids. The water park is like 85 degrees and when you go to your room it's freezing cold! The arcade is very cool and at ours we have a treat shop! It's awesome! Make time to get a special something there if you have 1. We did eat lunch at the water park cafe. I found it to be ok. Not terribly over priced, and decent. It was easy for us and I would do it again if we didn't have time or space to pack lunch things. Also a treat of french fries or onion rings is nice! I have been to GWL twice now and the service is awesome! Have fun!!
