Can you stand another stroller question???

If only I could turn my brain off. . .we registered for the Graco Snug 32 travel system...which I guess means we can only use the stroller until baby is 32 lb? What happens after that? The stroller is no longer good? At what approx age does baby become 32 lbs? Do I need to register for another stoller in addition to this? My mother is giving me such a hard time about my registry that I just want to shoot myself

I am not really sure but I would probably register also for an umbrella stroller for when DC is bigger. I think that is what the BBB people said.

The car seat is rated at 32 pounds. The stroller will hold up to 40-50 pounds. You can use the car seat in the stroller until the baby out grow's the seat. And then you can use the regular stroller. You can also use the stroller with out the seat....The infant seat is great when the baby is small. But once he/she gets bigger it is going to get heavy to take him in and out of the car in the seat....

DS is 2 years old and only 27 lbs. He is in the 25% for his weight. With that said I can guarantee you that your DC will NOT be in an infant seat until they are 32 lbs. Most likely they will out grow the height requirement first and/or you will not want to lift 40 lbs (32 lbs of DC + 8 for the seat) to put DC in and out of the car. Most people switch to a convertible car seat at about 5-10 months. There are some DCs that can stay in the car seat until they reach a year old, but 99% of the time the parents switch to a convertible car seat before then.

If you are getting a snap and go, I would wait to see what type of child your DC is and see what they like. If you are getting a travel system then after the DC outgrows the infant seat you can just use the stroller as a stroller. HTH

If it is a travel system doesn't the 32 hook onto the stoller itself and then when the baby grows out of the infant carrier you just use the stoller???
