Can you recycle burnt out lightbulbs?
Or do they go in the trash?

I always put them with plastic and glass.

No, actually you can't. Well, at least in the Town of Oyster Bay you can't, but I am assuming its the same for all recycling.
For glass, only food and beverage bottles and jars. The following are ok: juice bottles, beverage bottles, food bottles and jars and liquor and wine bottles.
The following are NOT ok: ceramic glass, items made of clay, drinking glasses, light bulbs, home or auto window glass, mirrors and serving dishes.
This is taken for our Recycling Flyer we get from our town.
