Can you buy money orders on usps.com??
Can you buy money orders on usps.com?? I am selling a playstation 1 with 2 games and I got an email saying that I have received a money order from the person and it was from the usps.com. I have to ship the item out and supply the tracking number for the person, and email it to the address supplied before I get my check from the usps.
I never saw this before and wanted to make sure it was legit.

I would never ship anything before recieving payment and since it's a money order - I would wait for it to clear.

that is what I thought - I emailed the woman and told her to get her money back because Ia m going to sell the playstation to someone else.
She is telling me that she will send me the papers for shipping from another company after I say that I got the money order, but I think it is fake.
I told her I will only send it to her after I receive the money order, and I will only ship it usps.
So then I get this wierd email from usps supposedly.

Below is the address where the postal order will be sent to in 3-5 Business days after shipment is verified.

Maybe print it out and bring it to your local postmaster general to ask? post.com isn't the post office's website, they are usps.com

It seems fake - does anyone know how I could find out if it is?
I find this a little fishy too. Scott - if you set the policy that you will only ship AFTER you receive the money order, I would question why she thinks it is OK to decide how she is going to pay for it. When I buy off EBay, and the seller says they will ship only after getting the money order, I decide whether or not to take the risk, and then buy accordingly.

Actually, I think it is usps.gov and since this doesn't seem to be connected in anyway to the usps website, I wouldn't take it, JMO.

Sounds like complete crap to me. I have been trying to do some searches but not coming up with anything.
I would email her back and tell her that when she bid, she agreed to the terms you set forth in the item, if she will not adhere to those terms at this time you will re-list the item and sell to someone else AND you will be reporting her to ebay.

Actually both usps.gov and usps.com work. A lot of people apparantly didn't know that they are a gov't entity and couldn't find the website.  I used to work in direct mail fundraising and it was a big deal in the industry that they had both domain names. LOL.

What a jerk! I can't believe people have so much time to waste creating fake postal orders and such. I would never think of these things!
