DH and I own an end unit townhouse

We have NO board, association, etc. We do not need permission to do anything to the house (we put on new roof and siding 4 years ago)

We want to rip down our deck and extend the living room/dining room out about 10 feet and build a new smaller deck.

Our living room and upstairs bedroom is attached to our neighbors. Can this be done? We are going to try and call around this weekend to get someone to come out and talk to us, etc.

Any ideas?
