Can wearing tight pants hurt the baby?
Sorry if this is a stupid question but..
Im still wearing some of my reg. slacks but I cant button them and they are a bit tight now. Anyway, today (at 18wk 5days) I felt the baby move! It wasnt even flutters anymore..it was like little tiny nudges. They were occurring pretty frequently today. Could it be that my pants are too tight and baby is uncomfortable? Can I be hurting the baby?

Nah. The baby is cushioned by amniotic fluid, as well as your uterus (which is a very thick muscle).
But it seems like time to get new pants!! You need to be comfy!!

I thought you had a post the other day about buying maternity pants. Go buy some new pants. After you buy them, you will wonder why you waited so long. 
Oh and no I don't think it will hurt the baby. I wear scrubs to work and one of the pairs I have are getting a little snug. I wore them the other night and the pants where so tight on my belly. It's not hurting the baby, but it actually giving me a stomach ache.

Yes Alli, I did post about this the other day  I still have a few pairs of reg. pants that I apparently thought I could still fit into. Apparently that is not the case anymore. I think I pushed wearing reg. pants as far as I could. I just wanted to find out if I was hurting the baby because today was the first time that I actually felt the baby moving a ton! It was such an amazing feeling

Don't worry, you are definately not hurting the baby.....
HOWEVER....YOU will probably feel so much more comfortable and probably even better about yourself in some good maternity pants!
Embrase the belly and make the switch! You'll be happy that you did!
Lol, my DH wants to know if he can wear a pair of maternity pants today! This way he can eat a lot and not have to unbutton his pants, lol...

I just thought I could get away with just wearing them for a few more days  Yesterday I learned that I couldnt. Especially after feeling the baby move sooooo much I think its def. time

no you can't hurt the baby but for me anything that is really tight (or even too much belly touching sometimes) will trigger braxton hicks...it seems like anythng i do triggers braxton hicks though but you're only hurting yourself, i've been squeezing into the same 2 pairs of stretch pants and i have 2 pairs of maternity jeans, i am up 20lbs, i am finally going to suck it up and buy some new pants this weekend at 27 weeks ...
