Can we talk Sit N Stands? Yay or Nay?
DS will be 4 years, 4 months when DC#2 is born. He is still a big stroller lover... He loves lounging and eating snacks while I shop, etc. The only way to get him to let me leave the stroller in the car is to tell him we can ride the escalator. He loves the escalator...
What are your opinions on Sit N Stand strollers? Are they worth it? Worth it in my situation?
If you happen to love yours, can you recommend which one you have?
Thanks!!

Can you try to wein him off the stroller now? Maybe bring along a little leap frog game for him to play to keep him busy while you shop? DS has a backpack that he likes to bring pllaces with him - you can put a snack in there for him.

I have one but I have not used it yet. We tried at home to do a practice trail but Adriano is still too young and I'm afraid he might let go and fall. We shall see. I knwo some people who love it though. Me, I'm not so sure....It probably works better for an older child.

I bought a used one. It worked great , but its a monster - heavy and bulky. I used it for a few months and gave it away. I would wait until the new baby gets here and then decide if you want to get one.

I would wait. I bet by the time the baby is born you won't need a stroller for him. I've used mine maybe 10 times and Jack was 27 mnths when Ty was born.

We use ours all the time. I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and a 1 year old. My 3 year old always takes a ride. Even my 5 year old will stand on it from time to time if we are out for awhile.

Re: Can we talk Sit N Stands? Yay or Nay?
i have a 4 year old and 11 month old.
loved it, used it all the time...so much that i was wrecking the hell out of it(tires aren't real walking tires)
so i sold it and got a double jogger and double umbrella for the car.
my kids love strollers, and i love locking them down at times so it works out great

My brother and SIL have the Joovy Sit n Stand and love it. My niece was a little younger (2 and 9 months) when my nephew was born, but they have gotten LOT of use out of it!

Re: Can we talk Sit N Stands? Yay or Nay?
I agree with the others to wait.
I just did alot of research on double umbrellas and sit and stands. DS will be 3y4m when our little one arrives.
He was big into the stroller until maybe December and now its hit and miss. But if his cousin uses his stroller he wants to sit in it! So I am going to wait and see where he is in a few months and then make my decision whether I will get my $$ worth out of it.
ETA: the other thing is how big is your DS? The weight limits I am seeing on alot is 40lbs my DS is a big boy so alot of those wont really work for him now let alone in a few months....just something to consider!

Re: Can we talk Sit N Stands? Yay or Nay?
Thanks everyone! I am going to try and wean him now... before baby is born... and then decide when baby is born. He is only about 38.5 inches and only 31 pounds so I don't think he'd be too big for it before getting at least a decent amount of use out if it. Another option is the Peg Perego Pliko P3 has a footboard for an older child to stand on... not for long periods... but in parking lots, etc.
