Can someone explain how Ebates works?
I just joined and placed an order that would get me 9% back. What happens now? Do I have to do something to get that 9%?

No but check your account and see what is set up regarding your payout. I don't know all the options but I get a check quarterly.

As long as you had it activated at the time of purchase you should get an email with the amount of the cash back from that purchase.
Then every few months, they tally up all your cash backs and you'll get a check in the mail
Nothing to do- super easy

No - as long as you shopped through ebates (signed into ebates first and then went to the store website), you're good. Anytime you shop online just do that - go in through ebates. Every few months they send you a check for the total amount of your "rebate". You can sign into your account to see how much you've accumulated for the next check and in total over the entire time you've used it. It really is just that easy!

Can someone explain how Ebates works?
Also - you can now use ebates for in store purchases too - but only if you use Amex of Visa to pay. You can link your credit card(s) to your ebates account and then if the store you are shopping is has ebates available, you will get $$ back for your purchase

And I have no idea how I did this, but I have a toolbar on my chrome that has an ebates button.
Anytime I am on a store site that is offering ebates, a banner will come up saying- 6% cash back on ebates, click here to activate.
And if you forget, it reminds you again before you check out.
I love that because I always forget about ebates.
Maybe someone else here knows how to get that toolbar

I have that too, but no idea how it got there either  - but I do love having that reminder

Ps: don't be afraid to use it for vacation purposes either! I booked a cruise through Expedia using the Ebates link and got 10% back!!! Between mine and my parents rooms, we scored $450!
