Can my baking sheet be saved?

I made some chicken on a baking sheet. I needed some counter space so I put the baking sheet I used for the chicken back in the oven and forgot all about it. Now the baking sheet is all sticky (from the fat i guess) and no matter how often I wash it, it's still sticky.

Is there anything I can use that will clean it well or do I need to throw it out?

Maybe try one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers?

My tea pot got all greasy from having it on the stopve top all the time. DH used one of the erasers and it literally looks brand new!

They have ones made just for the kitchen that are tougher on grease.

HTH!

I usually use some dishwashing powder, make a paste with hot water and leave that soaking for a while, then clean as usual.

My MIL says you can use laundry detergent..but I haven't tried it.

I have that issue. I just cleaned it as best as I could and now just line it with foil when I use it.

DAWN Power Dissolver always does the trickfor me (I can't live without it). Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes then scrub with a dobie sponge.

DH brings the pans outside and sprays them with oven cleaner. Lets it soak for an hour or two, rinses right off.

Re: Can my baking sheet be saved?

Try Dawn Power Dissolver or Clorox Kitchen spray. Just let it sit for a bit on it.
