Can I wear this to an August wedding?
My cousin is getting married at The Palm House (Brooklyn Botanic Garden) -- the wedding is late August (Friday Night) -- can I wear this or is it too casual?
I plan on wearing a shawl (sheer) to cover my shoulders at church.

that dress is very glamorous and chic and couture all at the same time. with the shawl i think you will be a rock star.

i wish maxi dresses weren't the trend this summer. cause i swear i just can NOT wear them at all.
i'm short and wide and those dresses look absolutely terrible on my body shape--not to mention the empire waist line makes me look preggo!
the flower design on that dress is pretty though.

That dress is gorgeous!! I LOVE it!!
But I will say.. personally... I don't know if i'd wear it to a wedding simply because the top is all white. I just imagine getting my picture taken while sitting at the table and being the chick who wore a white dress to someone's wedding. I think if you wear a shawl that will help.. but personally I never keep shawls on... anything I have to hold annoys me.. 
I should note that I'm nuts.. and if I saw someone else wearing that dress to a wedding I'd comment on how goreous it was.. not on the fact that they were wearing white.
I'm really no help..lol sorry

I agree w/shopaholic. It's a beautiful dress, but IMHO it's to whte up top. I woud wear something else.

I would wear it.
I disagree that it's too white - the straps are blue and there's blue around the empire as well. I doubt anyone will look at you and think "white dress," especially with a shawl.
