Can I share an Ava conversation from today?
So, my friend and I carpool to and from work, so on the way home, we have Ava in the car. This is our conversation from today's ride:
Ava: (siiiigh) I'm not happy anymore.
Me: Why not?
Ava: Because I'm sad.
Me: Ok, I get that, but why are you sad?
Ava: Because I lost my friend.
Carpool Friend: (trying to hide her laughter)
Me: Um, what's your friend's name?
Ava: His name is Daddy. He's lost. He had to go to his job. (siiiiigh)
Carpool Friend: But Ava, Daddy has to go to work so he can buy snacks.
Ava: (bewildered look)
Me: Ava, Daddy needs to work so he can make money.
Ava: (angry now) DADDY DOESN'T MAKE BUNNIES! DADDY DOESN'T MAKE BUNNIES!
Me and Carpool Friend: 
Me: Ava, relax, Daddy doesn't make bunnies, you're right, he makes MONEY.
Ava: Oh. Ok. So he can buy me snacks?
Me: Yes, so he can buy you snacks.
Why she thought it was a bad thing that Daddy might make bunnies at work, who knows?
