Can I share a touching moment I had with my DS?
We were at my friend’s house cuz it was her son’s birthday party which was at white post farms. Anyways we all went back to the house afterwards and DS was having an off day cuz he threw up in the morning, then he had a nap and had lunch and I thought he was fine, but come dinner time he got cranky and threw up again, this time all over my friend’s nice fancy carpet. I felt so bad as DH was cleaning up the floor and I was working on cleaning up DS. Then my friend and her sister came and helped DH and told me to go upstairs and clean up DS and to not worry about cleaning up the floor or carpet, they were more concerned about my DS being ok. So I went upstairs to their guest bedroom and when I got to the room I started crying cuz I felt so bad for DS cuz I hated seeing him crying and throwing up and since I am so super sensitive I cried. Well as I was crying DS(who had just about stopped crying) touches my face and goes “It’s okay mama, it’s okay it’s okay” and then he hugged me and kept saying “it’s ok it’s ok”. That moment just melted my heart and it made me stop crying cuz I don’t want my son seeing me upset for long and when I stopped I told him that he made mommy feel better. As a mother I will never ever ever ever forget this moment. I love this little guy more than words can say.

It's amazing how they understand at such a young age about feelings & compassion. Your story is VERY sweet!

Yeah it really is amazing cuz every time he gets hurt or doesn't feel well I always comfort him and say "it's okay, it's okay, It's going to be ok". So now he was doing the same to me.
