Re: Can I have ONE drink tonight?
My SIL's MD told her 2 drinks a week - her little boy is fine. No harm from anything in moderation!

Sure! I had 1/2 a glass of wine once. I was craving it sooo bad. People said the rudest things to me - just warning you to be prepared for the comments!

If you dont want comments, you could put it in a regular glass and say its juice.

Re: Can I have ONE drink tonight?
I am not for drinking while your pregnant especially in the first trimester and believe me I'm a big drinker so it's hard for me to give up. Personally I feel that if something were to happen I would feel guilty for the rest of my life so it's not worth it for the one drink. What's your doctor's feeling on it?

Re: Can I have ONE drink tonight?
I always think of what my mom told me when ever anyone asks about alcohol during pregnancy!! She said that when she was pregnant with my sister they told her that she should drink a glass of wine every night to develop the babies heart!!! So...although things have changed...a few glasses throughout the pregnancy can't be that harmful!!!

One of the PG books I read said that if you do decide to have alcohol, not that they recommened it, to make sure that you have a full stomach because what seems like nothing to you could be a major buzz for the baby.

Re: Can I have ONE drink tonight?
I miss my booze and caffeine, but gave both up completely.... especially in the first trimester, the brain is developing sooo quickly, I'd be too guilty to enjoy my weak drink.
Instead, I've found other outlets..... virgin pina coladas for example.
in the end, it's obviously your choice / decision.... and frankly, one drink likely will do nothing.... but for me, I'm staying super-clean.

Re: Can I have ONE drink tonight?
I don't see the issue with the occasional glass. My family and my ILs never saw a problem with it, on our cruise the waiter was European and didn't think anything of it either. But I did have one waiter when I was about to pop that seemed to have issue with everything I did, including my choice of entree.
ETS- and by the way, congratulations! i didn't even know you were preggo again!
