Can I get pregnant after D&C but before AF??

As you know, I had a m/c on 9/11 but I am pretty sure I ovulated on 10/2. (tons of EWCM) We BD'd that whole week. However, I still haven't had AF since the m/c.

Is it possible for me to be pregnant again?

Yes it's possible, although it should be avoided. They tell you to wait at least a cycle( preferably 3) for a reason. You risk losing another pg b/c your hormones are not regulated yet to sufficently allow for a pregnancy.

I would say wait till the 12th-13th and POAS to ease the wondering if AF doesnt come.

With my 1st M/C though it took 6 weeks for AF to come and I have a very regular 28 day cycle.

Yes it's possible and I totally disagree with the previous post. I had a m/c, then a D & C a few days later and ovulated 3 weeks later & got pregnant. When I never got my period (6 weeks after the D&C) I got a positive HPT, called the OB (who was skeptical that I was actually pregnant again) & he did a sonogram to confirm as well as a blood test. I'm now almost 22 weeks with no problems whatsoever! I've actually heard that pregnancies immediately after m/c can be more successful. I've read that the whole "wait 3 cycles" is a complete myth that OBs continue to repeat because they're unsure about how the body copes & recovers after a m/c. For me, my hormones were certainly back on track & ready to sustain a pregnancy this time.

I'd say wait a week or two then call the OB & explain the situation. Only a blood test plus a sonogram can confirm it, not a HPT in this situation.

Absolutely possible. I know several people that it happened to - all of which went full-term with no issues.

I believe the reason why ob/gyns don't suggest it is it is hard to pinpoint when you got pregnant & the growth sonos could be off, ie. you look like you're 5 weeks but you're really supposed to be 7 weeks.

I just want to defend that I have seen it on here actually..... many women have M/C's again after not waiting the amount of Time their Dr' suggest. All I W ant for any women is a healthy happy PG's and babies and am not trying to scare anyone...

I have been Through it all..Infertility, Multiple PG loss, stillborn....and base my answers on my knowledge...and want to make sure everyone is healthy as can be.

When you M/C makes a difference. For me ....at 13 weeks PG...It will take a good while for my hormones to go back down, while I could still Ovulate, the chance of it being a quality egg based on hormones are slight...IT COULD be...but its slight. chromosonal issues would be much higher then normal ... I know I dont want to ever experience another M/C so I would wait till timing is optimal. Doesnt mean everyone has to...just my opinion.

There are exceptions to every rule in both favors.

I think none of us are Dr's and only they know best.

Totally possible, it happened with my sister and now she has a perfectly healthy 13 year old

Yup! I had a m/c and got PG before getting AF- my son is a healthy 14 month old now.
