Can I exchange stuff I got at my shower at BRU?
I got some stuff at my shower that I won't use. I want to return it and exchange it for items on my registry that weren't bought. Can I do this without a receipt? They are all still in their original packaging.
eta: i just answered my own question by going on the BRU website...apparently you can return without a receipt but you get the lowest price for the item and they give you a store credit.

Also they have to carry the item in the store to return it, in the pattern. I registered for a pnp online and received it and another one and even though it was on my registry I couldn't return it. I have to call and UPS will pick it up

Yeah their return policy kind of stinks. We had to return a few things & it was not always a pleasant experience

I didnt have a problem when I returned and I had stuff I wasnt even sure was bought at BRU and they took it all back and I only had receipts for like 2 things. They gave store credit.

I returned few things today that I didnt even know where they came from (no receipt)... got store credit which was fine since I wanted to purchase some things off my own registry...

I didn't have a problem either. I had so much stuff to return and I tried to seperate it by store, then I had an entire garbage bag filled of things I did not register for and didn't know where they were purchased. I went to BRU first and they scanned it to see if they carried it - if they did they gave me a credit - no receipts necessary!

I had to do the same with a friggin changing table! They wanted ME to pay the $30 in shipping it back & then again to send a new one!!!! They made it very difficult & even wanted ME to call the original purchaser to ask them to re-order it My cousin ordered it & he is in China for 3 months & un reachable. I cannot even tell you the nightmare trying to get the changing table fixed (it came damaged). I eventually gave up & called the manufacturer directly. Luckily they were way more accommodating.

I think it depends on the person at the counter...we tried w/ some things once & they were super strict; then DH tried the 2nd time on another date & the lady took everything except 1 thing that was bought online that they didn't carry.
