Can I ask a stupid question?
What is the point of a "coming home" outfit?
Is it different than any other clothes you would put on your baby? Is it to take pictures?

Does that mean the baby needs an expensive outfit? NO
There are plenty of adorable outfits that are not

It meant a lot to me to have a special outfit. My sister got it for him. It was this designer footed onesie from France and she was soo excited to give it to us.
He wore it home that day and that is it. It is now in his keepsake box along with tons of pictures of him wearing it. The next child we have will also wear it and then I would like to make it into a shadow box with the pictures.
I will also look at that outfit and remember that day.

I always kind of thought it was something sweet to keep as a keepsake. Doesnt have to be ridiculously expensive, IMO, but I do plan to buy something a little extra special.

You can get really cute designer stuff at TJ Maxx and Marshalls which is probably what I'll do-unless I get something really cute at my shower.

honestly I got a cute outfit.. but def nothing too overly special or expensive. My first son came home in a fleece pj with puppys on it that we got at walmart and this time around he has a cute little outfit with froggies on it I bought at babies r us.

I like my DS's coming home outfit because it had matching booties, a bib, and a hat. He had a really bad cone head and wore a lot of hats.
