can babies eat cottage cheese?
ds needs to eat foods with different textures but since he has an egg allergy it cuts out pasta, waffles, pancakes, breads, etc.. is cottage cheese ok for a 9 month old? if so, what brand do you suggest?

ped just gave me the green light for cottage cheese at 6 1/2 months. No specific brand. We tried it. He didn't like it. Ricotta cheese is also ok as well. I don't know how these go with the egg allergy though.

Oh...I'm glad you asked. I was wondering this as well. DS is 10 1/2 months so I guess it is definetely ok.
ETA: For the OP, you may want to try the Breakstone cottage cheese snack sizes. They come like the yo baby yogurt.

Yep, it's good for them! I use Breakstone, only because that's MY favorite! They can have sourcream too! Steven loves it.
