Can Anyone Recommned An Amazing, Well-Established Day Care Center In The Medford Vicinity?
I am only 6 weeks pregnant. I am due in October. After reading lots of old posts I see that you must go on a waiting list for a day care well in advance. I am not even sure if I am going to take the day care approach right away or get a private nanny at first.
Either way, if anyone knows of any wonderful places in the Medford area (this is where I live) (although I travel to teach in Queens every day) that you use/used, etc please let me know.

I work in medford and there aren't too many Daycare centers in the area. I would avoid Kindercare (lots of violations).

I heard Kiddie Academy in medford on 112 is suppose to be very good..take a tour and check it out

I heard Kiddie Academy in medford on 112 is suppose to be very good..take a tour and check it out
To my knowledge there is no KA in Medford on 112. Are you sure that's the name? I just looked on their site and nothing comes up.

I think it's Kiddie Kampus. It's in the Brookhaven Executive Center.
There's also the Tutor Time on 101. I've toured there several times and liked it very much.

All 3 of my kids went to Kiddie Kampus. It's great although it was just sold so I don't know how things are going to be under the new ownership.

Not sure if you are strictly looking for day-care centers or in home daycares as well but here is a link for Child Care Council of Suffolk- There is a list of licensed providers to get you started

Thanks everyone. I did just read somewhere that in September 2008 (maybe with the new owners) as someone above mentioned that they are starting an infant program.

The place in Patchogue by Bob's is good from what I've heard. I can't think of the name right now but it is in the back of the apartment complex right on Sunrise by the Bob's/Linens and Things shopping center.

To your reply and I thank you. How much was it weekly for one child? I just read that come Sept 2008 they are starting an infant program. I will have to look into it. What did you like about it? Do you know why the owners sold?

PS. Do you live in Medford too? Did you look into any other centers? I hear somewhere on Rt 112 The Learning Experience Day Care which is now in Stony Brook and Centerach is opening a future one in Medford..I wonder where on 112.

DD goes to TLE and it's out of my way, but worth it. The tuition is also much less than at other places I looked at.
