I heard that The Nursing Mother's Companion was good...I just started reading it a few days ago but bought it used on Amazon.

I just finished reading "So that's what they're for", I forget the author's name. Someone on the boards recommend it. I found it to be very informative and easy to read, it's not overly medical but I feel I learned a lot. It's very pro-BF which at times I thought was a tad annoying but on the whole I recommend it. HTH!

The Breastfeeding Book by Dr Sears was my bible.
I had bought a few, but got this one as a gift from a nurse practioner...it was really good and well written. Gives you a ton of confidence needed to nurse in public.

while it's not a book - i really enjoyed, Laugh & Learn About Breastfeeding. It's a DVD - quick, to the point and gave lots of good tips.
I got mine from the library - but i also just looked - Netlfix has it too!
