can an vag. ultrasound cause harm?
today i had my first sono at 5 weeks 3 days and the ultrasound tech was practically digging the wand into me to try and find my right ovary (which she couldn't find). i feel kinda crampy now afterwards, and i'm just worried, could this hurt the baby?

oh no it cant dont worry. At 5 weeks your little one is sooooooo tiny sometimes the tech has to "fish" around to even find it. I remember my first sono was at 8 weeks and the tech did the same thing she said you have no idea how small the baby is at this stage. Baby is fine in there.

Nope - after one of my first sonos I did have some spotting. All the pushing and probing can irritate your cervix and cause some bleeding. But the cramping could also just be part of the pregnancy. You could have cramping on and off your entire 1st trimester.

No, I am sure you are fine... I had to get a vag ultrasound at 7 weeks and OB dug into me as well... Pretty much ripped me apart to find baby bc of my tiltted uterus...  But baby is all well and good now at 18 weeks so no harm done!
