Camcorder Help

I would like to get an inexpensive one for DH fror Christmas...by inexpensive I meanunder $300. I see a LOT of them these days for that price....

I know that its not gonna be the best , but I figured we would upgrade once DS is older in a few years, so For now...Any ideas?

What do I look for?
