callous people
so a 'friend' of mine are chatting over the phone, she just had her third baby, she knows what i've been through (three miscarriages etc) and she has the nerve to tell me she's been very upset lately, her doctor told her she can't have any more kids after a third C-section and it's devastating to her, plus her third baby has a milk allergy and how her life is so difficult and sad...
and here i am thinking, be grateful you have THREE children, there are people with none...
i swear, some people lack a sensitivity chip.. or maybe people with fertility issues like ourselves are bit too sensitive?
is it us or is it them?

Oh that would annoy me to no end.
I guess no matter what it is in life we always want more.
Maybe just having someone tell you you can't do something again makes you want it more.
It was way insensitive of her to say that to you. That is like my best friends who knows I'm dealing with IF for 3 years and when I get on the phone with her all she does is dominate the conversion with stories about her kids. And she dealt with IF herself, you think she'd understand. I can't even get a word in. Though finally the other day she asked how we were doing and as soon as I started to talk about me, she had to get off the phone. Whatever.

Its both.
I know when dealing with IF before I was PG I would have told her off. I just expected people to Get it. They DONT.
A rare few will have that uber sensitivity to others and be careful..but too many wont.
I dont think shes being callous...I think clueless might be better.
You have to tell people how you feel. They will not get it, cause to them this is their world and they havent walked in your shoes.
I wouldnt say, be grateful you have 3 , Im sure she is...that doesnt mean in her world , not having more if that is what she wants is not sad .
Shes just not being sensitive to you at all, and that sucks. Make her understand!!

People are insensitive and stupid. Simple as that. My favorite is how people who tried for three months and got pregnant tell me they know what I am going through because it took them awhile. Whatever...
