California Suggestions
Any suggestions for someone who has wanted to visit California FOREVER! 2 adults, probably mid february.
Definite places to see? Places to stay that would not break the bank?
They have a week to spend there.
Thank you!

California Suggestions
Just visited in August. My favorite was the drive up from LA to San Francisco, we took the scenic route along the pacific coast highway. It was beautiful.
From SF we drove to Napa, def give yourself a whole day here.
Stayed at Loews Hollywood, great view of the Hollywood sign and steps from the Mann Theatre and Hollywood walk of fame.
Loved SF more than LA, it was so sketchy.
If you need restaurants suggestions let me know, we had some amazing food.

I definitely prefer northern CA over southern (I like San Diego but not a fan of LA). Hearst Castle, Monterey, the 17 mile drive, San Fran, and Napa are some things I would recommend

I love San Fran. I would do San Fran combined with Napa/Yountville. If you have the time you could always fly into San Fran, rent a car and drive the PCH through LA, then to San Diego and fly home from there. Each city has great stuff to see and do. All depends on how much driving you would want to do and what cities you would want to see.

If you do end up in southern Cali, def check out La Jolla. It's one of my favorite areas in the world. I dream of living there!

Drive up or down the coast, but do NOT miss San Diego. Such a warm, friendly and beautiful place. The food is so good, too!

Re: California Suggestions
We just did a California trip this summer. We started in San Francisco and drove to LA taking the PCH drive...amazing! In San Francisco we stayed at the Wyndam Union Square and in LA stayed at Loews in Hollywood. Both were good choices and reasonably priced. Loved the drive!

A few years back we spent a week in San Diego & did day trips to LA, Palm Springs, & Joshua Tree Park... we had such a great time!! I wrote a review at the time, let me see if I can find it & post the link, in case you're interested...

I like Northern CA better than Southern. Definitely San Francisco, Napa Valley,Monterray, In Southern Cali I would check out San Diego and Orange County and Disnleyland if you have time.
