cake vs cupcakes?
So for my dd bday party i was planning cupcakes... they are her favorite... but total guests (parents and kids) is up to 55 people if everyone comes...
Does it make more sense budget wise to do cupcakes for the kids and cake for the adults?
Or just do all cupcakes?
The cheapest i can find cupcakes is $1.00 a cupcake but for the really amazing cupcakes they are $2.25 a cupcake...

Re: cake vs cupcakes?
IMO that is way too many people for the expense of cupcakes. Do cupcakes for the kids and a cake for adults. Much more budget friendly that way.

Re: cake vs cupcakes?
i would do cake for the entire party and have her favorite cupcakes at home for her instead of at the party
but if you definitely want cupcakes at the party - do cupcakes for the kids and cake for the adult

I wouldn't do the expensive cupcakes for the kids - they usually just lick the frosting
I'd do cupcakes for the kids, and a sheet cake for the adults
and for her actual birthday at home, spring for the good stuff !

Re: cake vs cupcakes?
How about a single tier cake and then cupcakes on the bottom? That's what I'm doing for my DS's bday

With that many people I would do a cake. Or you could do a cake for adults and some cupcakes for the kids.

ITA Don't give the kids the expensive cupcakes. They'd be fine with munchkins or anything with sugar. Sheet cake is perfect and the good stuff for immediate family on her birthday.
