Cake smash question
When do you do this? If you want it for their party invite it has to be done far in advance when they're not actually 1? Unless you just use the pic for the thank you card.
If you did it, when did you do it? Or if you're planning one...

I plan to use a few of the pics AT her party, not for invites

Cake smash question
We did a DIY cake smash about a week before her birthday. We made a banner with some of the pics to hang at her party. I've also seen them used on the thank you but I think it would be a little strange to use it as the invite since it makes it seem like you're already celebrating. I like them on the thank you but I prefer to use pics from the actual party for that.

Cake smash question
DD turned 1 March 20th and I did her Cake Smash/1st Birthday Pics the beginning of March. I wanted them done as close to her birthday as possible.
I used one of the pictures as the Thank You and used a random picture for the invite.

I did it about 2-3 weeks before and used the pics for the ty card...
My photog has the pics for me within a few days...
I also did 1st bday portrait pics...

We have it set a month before just in case she isn't happy or gets sick. My photographer does a board of pics for the party
