Cablevision Tech, man was he creepy....
so I have been having intermittant internet for a while now and I finally called to have repair come.
The repairman couldn't have been creepier! I am normally a suspicious person but I try not to be however, he is standing at my computer fiddling with my modem commenting on how many Digital Cameras I have. (ok I have a few that were in various spots arund the room but still..) I was like   ok.... he was not asking if I was into photography or anything just making a useless observation. Then he mentioned it again.
Then before he left I was asking about the triple play and getting cable phone service yada yada, he asks me if I have an alarm? Excuse me? 
I was like what does that have to do with my phone service. He explained they will have to install it differently if I did. This may be true, but coming from him I was weirded out!
I need a drink 
Mr. Cable Repairman - pls do something to improve your cable side manner!

Well my DH works for Cablevision. He is in sales though. He is in to Gadgets.,,, He like's camera's he might have said the same thing. I personally might have asked why one would need more then one And I was a photo major in school lol
Also if you have an alarm system PLAYS A BIG PART IN OpVoice.One being if you lose power you lose alarm/

I know thats probably it, I mean besides having a creepy air about him, he could very well also be a camera junkie. But I dunno when you are in someones home in this day and age you don't go around scanning every room and commenting on peoples personal belongings KWIM?
I guess its not something I would do.
I'm sure its just my own paranoia

I understand what a previous positer said about the alarm having to do with the cable
but
1) He was checking out your stuff
2) He asked if you have an alarm
Makes me worried he's casing the place to rob it.
I think it was very unprofessional for him to make comments about your belongings. At my job we perform in home services and it's actually on their contract/job description that they are not to check out, appear to check out, or comment on any of the student's belongings.

My brother just got the triple play thing and the alarm does have a lot to do with it.
It would have been nice if the tech hooked it all up the right way..The next day, my brother's phone rang and the house alarm went off
He wasn't laughing..LOL..
I don't know why the tech was commenting on the cameras though.
