Bye, Bye Preemie and Newborn clothes.......

I am packing you away. I do not know if I will use you again but I am keeping you around for a while and then I might share you with a friend or 2. Dylan has moved on and much of his 3 month clothing is even getting small. To my favorite preemie onesie, with the fun snap style, I am determined to find more of you. If I do, I will make sure that you meet your brothers as soon as they land in the outgrown clothing storage box. I will even break my sense of order and pack them away out of size order just so you can meet them!!! To the gowns that didn't stay buttoned, sorry, you are going in the trash because your quality was poor. To the Little Me footies/pajamas, I hold you up and I think., "I remember this person," because sometimes I feel like someone took away Tiny Dylan and left me with a big baby instead. To all of you and to the small bottles that I am packing away with you, I will never forget how each of you rescued me as Dylan spit up or peed on another one of you and I had to change him. You were all there for me. I am still using many of your matching blankets but if you get cold, please holler and I will come to your aid. It makes me cry to pack you up!!!

-----A very sentimental mom.

(The brand of the onesie is "Baby's Own" and my mom had trouble on checkout when she tried to buy more at an Amazon store. I found 1-2 websites that have them but not with fun patterns like the preemie one I had. I found a phone # for the company in the garment disrtict that owns them. I have a million onesies but I only had 1 like this. Please tell me if you have seen them in a store. We are not sure but we think the first one was from TJMAXX. It is all a blur, as we needed preemie clothes on short notice and my mom went to many stores. They look like this: External Image

I don't know if this helps but I think they are called snapsuits instead of onesies. HTH!

Oh Kerie...

It's so sad isnt it? We want them to get bigger and then they do and we want them to stay small! I have a bag sitting in my living room of Cadens recently grown out of clothes...he's my last so I guess I just want him to be a baby forever!

I'll see what I can find on those onesies..

Re: Bye, Bye Preemie and Newborn clothes.......

Thanks ladies. Those onesies are so cute. They have snaps in 2 different places so that the baby can grow into them (snaps higher up to make the onesie shorter, and another set of snaps lower down for when baby grows). This is not the first time I have liked something that is a lot more common in Canada.

I know how you feel about saying good bye to the preemie clothes. It is a big defeat!!! I, too, loved the Little Me sleepers, and miss them sometimes (I wish they made 2t sizes). I also had those oneies, they were great. I think I saw a style like that recently, either buybuybaby or kohls. Good luck on your growing munchkinChat Icon

I am right there with you. My little preemie who was born at 2 lbs. 13 oz. is now almost 11 pounds 17 weeks later. I often look in his drawer of preemie clothes and cannot believe how little he was, and how far he has come in just 17 weeks. Just last night we were looking at pics of him when he came home from the hospital and I feel like I have a different baby now. He is getting so big so fast!

I know, such a sad day - but he's growing so well! Wait until he turns one and you look back on those clothes, they will look even smaller! Chat Icon
