buying furniture
we are looking into buying furniture for our bedroomand den....anyone have any suggestions for stores with nice, reasonably priced furniture? we looked at macys so far and liked some things, but want to shop around some more......TIA for any suggestions!

I went to Ashley Furniture yesteday for the first time and I thought they had very good prices. The furniture I bought so far for my house - bedroom, living room and dining room I ordered from NC though. I did order my family room furniture from Levitz, although I really like the furniture it was hell dealing with Levitz.
I live in NJ so I'm not sure if there are any Ashley Furniture stores on Long Island.

We got two beautiful sofas at Macys and were able to take advantage of 24 months 0% financing. Also, they forgot to give me a pillow on one of the sofas so I called up and they shipped it to me within 3 weeks. Nice dealing with them overall and the price was right.

There is a new place in Farmingdale called Bob's Discount Furniture. They seem to have really nice furniture at very reasonable prices. My Aunt recently bought a new kitchen table from them and said they were excellent.

Rt. 110 Clearance center in farmingdale. i got bedroom furniture and a couch for my LR there. Love it! Very, very reasonable.

we're looking into a place in hauppauge called direct buy. we go to their open house may 16th.
i have a friend in ct that goes to bob's discount and swears they are great.

we also went to ashley in nj- they are opening an ashley store on glen cove road right next to "the Place" furniture gallery..
we like the place, they have a great selection and quality furniture!
