Burning sensation on top of stomach

For a few weeks now I have had this burning feeling on the top of my stomach, like under my bra line towards the center-right side. Sometimes it burns and other times it's itchy and it feels warm.

I mentioned it to my dr today and he said to try tums and if no relief maybe I should get a sono to make sure gallbladder is ok.

I tried the tums but honestly they don't do anything.

The pattern of the sensation is unrelated to food - which is why he doesn't think it is gallbladder related.

It's almost like I expect to see a rash in the area, but their is nothing there.

It is such a strange feeling and I was wondering if anyone else has it?

Sometimes, in pregnancy, it can be liver related. Maybe ask your doctor about that possibility. Many times, however, it is just the skin stretching up there.

Its the belly stretching...your skin.

I so remember that feeling too and its was around the same time,...itchy too very itchy!

Hmmmmm.... I've been having a feeling in the same spot that I was planning on bringing up to my doctor next visit.

For me, it is also just at the top of my baby belly, under my right breast. And it's not really a burning as it is a needle or knife stabbing little pain when I start to bend or lean a certain way. It feels like tissue or ligament tearing on the inside. I guess maybe like an acid burning. And I do get the feeling like there could be a rash on the outside or my skin split open. I too think it could be just uterus/skin stretching related but just wanted to bring it up to be sure. I wanted to ask if they have a chart showing where and what organs are there that maybe when I bend, I'm putting pressure on because something is going on in there. It is in the spot where the baby's behind is and gets the biggest bulge most of the time so the skin stretching makes sense. I've just not gotten any other pain or itching in any other skin stretching areas, even where stretch marks have formed. So this spot was a little concerning. Curious to see what they say now. But comforting to know this could be a simple common pregnancy side effect.

I'll keep you posted as to what my dr. says about my hot spot!

i get that too! at 31 w. b/w that and stretch marks i'm just soo beautiful!!
